Increasing Awareness of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine for Women 18–45 Years of Age

The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine prevents cancer and is highly effective; however, the uptake has been low in United States of America (USA) among most vulnerable populations. A recent Center for Disease Control (CDC) report highlighted that approximately 13,000 new cases cervical are diagnosed each year USA. Although considered treatable, especially when detected early, USA, 4000 women die every cancer. However, little known about access awareness objective this article to focus on role played by clinical pharmacists bringing HPV vaccine. It offers recommendations enhance administration This rapid literature review revealed two significant themes: Disparities healthcare roles empowering emphasizes need future research enhancing as a viable strategy women. As an integral part team, can significantly improve administer vaccine, yielding enhanced outcomes prevention.
